I’m a sucker for a good fall wardrobe.
I’m also a sucker for J.Crew.
As I sit here day dreaming about potential new (full-time) job
I’m also day dreaming over the potential new fall wardrobe, that I will get to buy with potential new (full-time) job.
I’m obsessed with this dress. That’s all.
Anthropology Sunblaze Lace Dress
Some of the looks I love… from the looks they love.
It’s starting to look like Fall over at J.Crew.
I forgot all about my white lace Max Azria dress from the back of my closet!
Always a good fashion surprise!
This dress has some crazy history and has been accessorized for all kinds of occasions. It’s one of my absolute favorites and was one of my first purchases while I was living In NYC.
It’s been to numerous city events. Walked the halls at Glamour magazine. Has attended family birthdays, baptisms, Floridian vacations and first dates galore! It was what I was wearing when I spontaneously packed a bag and hailed a cab to the airport and when I hosted my first “grown up” party for the 4th of July.
One of my favorite parts of fashion is the stories associated with specific pieces and this dress has got it going on.
So today, I’m making a new memory.
In rebellion of all this dreary spring weather Chicago has been having, I’v been on a bright color kick as of late.
And since I dusted off my glasses this morning and haven’t worn these bad boys in quite some time….
Here’s my version of a geek chic, with just a little technicolor to brighten any rainy day (or a boring old black ensemble)
Rainbow Scarf - Zara
Glasses - DVF
Blazer - H&M
Boots - Nine West
For the Love of Layers
The weather may still be chilly, but a bright yellow sweater always helps make the day become a bit more bright and cheery.
Sweater - J. Crew
Denim Button Down - Target
Black Skinnies - Anthropology
Tank - H&M
Brown Boots - Nine West
Pearls - J. Crew
Coffee….check. Camera….check. Sparkle….check. Just another day #livingthedream. Happy Sunday Tumblr!!
Colored denim: Round 2.
As well as an obvious love of layers.
Trench Coat - Michael Kors
Cabled Sweater - Lacoste
Gingham Button Down - J.Crew
Tank - H&M
Cropped Pants - J.Crew

Glitter Flats - Gap
Colored denim two days in a row this weekend?
I think it’s safe to say I have officially jumped on the trend bandwagon.
One Day - Two Ways
Easter was crazy for me this year. I had to work all day, make the drive back to my hometown and still celebrate the holiday with the fam Sunday night.
For me, there’s nothing better than feeling put together on those crazy days. Since my family get togethers are extremely casual, I got the chance to take one piece and pull it off two ways; from work to holiday party.
J.Crew cheetah sweater
J.Crew layered pearls
Anthropology Black Pants
Nine West Brown Boots
H&M Black Blazer
Michael Kors Trench Coat
Gap Boyfriend Jeans
Saks Brand Nude Pumps
How many pieces of #jcrew can I incorporate into one outfit?
Answer: never too many.
#Marchphotoaday: Something I Wore
Just a little J.Crew
a little Zara
and a little H&M
all worn together
First time i’ve dressed up for no reason in quite some time….
You can never go wrong with checkers, brights and pearls.
It’s nice to feel stylish again.
What does one wear for a birthday celebration that does not call for a fancy dress and my highest heels, per usual? How about a little bit of fur and stripes!
This year, I decided to go the low-key route on the birthday celebration. Although it was anything but, the dress code stayed true.
There is nothing better than a Saturday afternoon in preppy casual, bottomless mimosas and best friends.. all in honor of my existence.
Fur Vest - Zara
Striped Hoodie - JCrew
Skinny Jeans - Gap
Boots - Nine West (remember this?)
Speedy - LV
Boyfriend wayfarer - Ray Bans
Earrings - Kate Spade
Watch - Michael Kors
Essie - School of Hard Rocks
Every year for Black Wednesday it’s tradition for all of my best friends from home to get together and attend our city’s Little Black Dress Party. Tomorrows the night…so I thought I would pick myself up a last minute LBD; because you know a girl can never have too many of those!
I scooped into H&M on my lunch break this afternoon and found this killer satin number with a puffed sleeve for quite a steal! $34.95 baby!
Excited by my find, I did what any other
shopping obsessed normal gal would do… I styled it immediately. So here is what I will be wearing come tomorrow night.
Black Satin Puffed Sleeved Dress – H&M - $34.95
Black Booties – Zara - $89.90
Sequined Clutch – Zara - $59.90
Opaque Tights – Express - $14.90 (Buy1Get1 50% Off)
Royal Blue Lapis Studs – Kate Spade - $195.00
Popcorn Garland Gold Necklace – Kate Spade - $148.00
Now all I have to do is hop on over to Zara for that insanely sparkly clutch and then skip right down to Express for the bright tights…grab a bottle of champagne and my hometown besties and I’ll be allllll set.
Thanksgiving weekend….here I come!
